Pioneer Skills in Early Arts and Trade at the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival.

I asked one of the ladies where she bought the spinning wheel and she answered, “the internet”. I was like, oh, cool! Haha.

 They were so nice and accommodating, patiently explaining the intricacy of early arts and trade.

If you don’t feed the seagulls, they will let you and your food be - respect your space - but once you leave your table, it’s a whole new story. I don’t know if there is a lesson here.

“Carinderia” or “Turo-turo” is comparable to the hawking centres in Singapore. In a “carinderia”, one can get a taste of authentic, home-cooked Filipino delicacies at a very low price.

I took these photos in Baler. I was running out of cash and could no longer afford to eat at the restaurants close to the beach. My cousin, who has been to Baler several times, suggested that we eat at the yummiest “Carinderia” in downtown Baler most famously known as the Rolling Stones. I ordered my favorite Filipino dish - dinuguan! I was not disappointed! The food was super yummy. I find myself rubbing my tummy ( a gesture of satisfaction after a meal in the Philippines, which, according to my mom, is very unladylike ) all the way back to the hotel.
